The Hits vor Einstellung?

Glaubt man dem Forum von DigitalSpy, dürfte The Hits am 06. Juni eingestellt werden. Im Februar wurde bereits die Umbenennung zu 4Music im Laufe des Jahres angekündigt. Ob die dann auch gleich frei empfangbar werden?

Glaube nicht das die FTA werden. Sonst müssten die anderen Sender dieses Betreibers wie Smash Hits, Kerrang und Magic auch FTA werden, und da ist glaube ich nichts angekündigt.

Ich fände es aber schon etwas irritierend, wenn man mit dem neuen Namen 4Music die Zugehörigkeit zum Channel 4 zum Ausdruck bringt, aber dann nicht mit den unverschlüsselten Weg vom Channel 4 ginge. Über Freeview sendete The Hits ja auch bereits im Gegensatz zu den anderen Sendern.

Solange der Sender selbst nichts bekannt gibt kann man nur raten. Aber bis zum 6.Juni ist ja nicht mehr lange hin und dann werden wir ja sehen was passiert.

The Hits will become 4Music in August

The Hits is to be renamed as 4Music and relaunched with more long-form shows from August 15.

The rebranded channel will feature Channel 4-led series such as The Sunday Night Project, Star Stories, Live From Abbey Road, 4Music Presents and Ibiza Rocks.

A statement said the changes would also bring Channel 4 presenters such as Alexa Chung, Nick Grimshaw, Miquita Oliver and Steve Jones to The Hits.

Channel 4 and Bauer Media, which co-own The Hits, introduced the 4Music name to the channel with a Sunday night block earlier this year.

David Young, programming director of The Hits operator Box Television, said: "We already have the number one music channel in the UK and now we're going to take all the best bits of our music video content and combine them with a refined schedule of quality long-form music and music-based entertainment programming."

Channel 4 head of music Neil McCallum added: "We're particularly excited about making our music programming even more accessible and looking forward to bringing new audiences to our diverse range of music entertainment shows and live events."

The relaunched channel will air coverage of the V Festival on its first weekend, August 16 and 17, and later in the summer cover Bestival, headlined by Amy Winehouse.

So the Hits ist Geschichte.

Aktuell wird ein Trailer von 4 Music ausgestrahlt. Sendestart ist um 20.00 Uhr UK / 21.00 MEZ.

Der Trailer ist wie später auch das ganze Programm in NDS verschlüsselt. 4 music wird nur Bestandteil von FreeView sein. D.h. FreeView smartcard wird benötigt.

Nach erfolgtem Sendestart gibts noch mal 1-2 Bilder aus dem laufenden Programm.

Aktuell gibts nur Übertragungen des V Festivals. Daher gibts noch keine Screenshots von Titeleinblendungen usw. Daher mal zwei Screens vom V Festival in 16:9. Bei schnellen Bildbewegungen neigt der Sender stark zur Pixelbildung (siehe Bild 2)

Also das Logo (Die Tife) gefällt mir.
Schade das die Qualität der Übertragung net so dolle ist.

Das Logo ist nicht schlecht - aber für mich irgendwie unverständlich, weshalb es nicht wie bei E4 und More4 ganz in der Ecke sondern 4:3-safe ist.

Hoffen wir mal, dass der alte The-Hits-Vertrag mit Sky bald ausläuft.

Das mit den Logos ist in UK bei fast allen 16:9 Sendern so. Beispiel folgt später noch im 16:9 Thread.
